How were the pyramids built?
Although Christmas is coming up fast it was great to secure a major deal on Monday for one of my clients which will see their profile raised significantly next year. We had all thought it would be pushed over to the new year but no they want to ensure everything is in place before the break so we can all hit the ground running in January.

It is a refreshing  way of working, if it was left till January then we would have been into the second week before anything happened and probably not until February when everything was settled. Have a think about what you were going to put off and sort it out whilst it is quiet before taking the break and then come back in January with a bang.

Tuesday  was so busy with the usual round of appointments and finishing at Liverpool University for a civic reception with the Dean of the university. But did you know they have found cures for tropical diseases, they are sending muscle tissue into space to see the effects of ageing and that they have solved the age old problem of how were the pyramids were constructed? And the first carol concert!

I am helping Sale Conservative Club with some of their marketing as a venue space. The club has been recently refurbished and benefits from two function rooms, a board room and a very good caterer. It can be used for business purposes or social and there are opportunities for advertising to the visitors and members. If it is of interest please contact us for further details.

Thursday saw me not only wearing four hats but also a great introduction for Premium Collections which should see a collaboration with a national firm. So I started off as Wills, Protection and beyond, going straight into my Premium role, heading out of Manchester I had to put my old surveying head on which found me back in a roof space which just goes to show you never lose it. Finally, I had a couple of FSB appointments and my first night in that week.

Friday saw my last meeting at The Manchester Business Breakfast Club as a host on the top table. It has been a fantastic year with co-host Nicky Metcalfe of Fast Signs. Not without it's challenges but the fun we have had has made it all worth while. Good luck to the new guys, I will enjoy an extra half an hour in bed and the opportunity to network with all the members before the main meeting.

Finally, I was told to stay home on Friday afternoon to  let the engineer in who was going to install our new smart meters. He turned up mid way through the afternoon to declare the meter was probably too big for the space and that if we waited till next year we could have one that would swap between providers! Who knew smart meters are not that smart?
